“My best skill was that I was coachable. I was a sponge and aggressive to learn.”
Michael Jordan
Coachable is an openess to being taught and trained in order to improve or achieve your goals. Good coaching can have an impact or fall on deaf ears, it’s a two way street. Much attention has been on the coach, little on the person being coached. Let’s start with you and ask how coachable are you? The following questionnaire offers some insight on the behaviors that contribute to being coachable.
1.
How do you react to feedback from others about your behaviors?
2.
How would you describe your views on personal growth and learning?
3.
How do you better understand your strengths and possible blind spots?
4.
How do you react to a new course of action where you could be vulnerable?
5.
When you think about your future, which of the following best fits you?
6.
When things go wrong on something you are responsible for, do you?
7.
When working with others who have more experience, do you:
8.
How do you view your skills and abilities relative to your coworkers?
9.
Which best describes your approach to your job
10.
When you disagree with others at work, what is your preferred approach?
